THE GOD ON JACK’S LETTER

PLAYERS

JACK, 19, tall,handsome, short brown haired

MRS. LYN, 35,beautifull , long-haired, infertile

MRS. LYN’S HUSBAND, 38, mustache, beardless, short-haired

ANTONIUS, 19, wearing glasses, short black haired

SCENE 1. On saturday night, MRS. LYN is cleaning jack’s bedroom. She looks frighten when cleans the room. She finds an envelop on the desk in Jack’s bedroom. MRS. LYN decides to open the envelop and there are three letters on the envelop. She comes to her husband and she tells her husband that she find a letter on Jack’s bedroom.

MRS. LYN (Shaking her husband body). Darling, Wake up! Look what I found on Jack’s bedroom.

MRS. LYN’S HUSBAND (yawning). Oh I see, I’m so sleepy honey.

MRS. LYN (staring her husband eyes). Didn’t you curious, darling?

MRS. LYN’S HUSBAND (throwing his head away from MRS. LYN and continue to sleep). No, I didn’t honey.

SCENE 2. The next day, in the early morning MRS. LYN decide to read the letters and she ask her husband to accompany her in reading the letters.

MRS. LYN. Darling, I wanted to read the letters but I’m afraid to read the letters

MRS. LYN’S HUSBAND . Why are you so afraid, honey?

MRS. LYN. you know that jack already dead and I’m sure that the letters was writen by jack, honey.

MRS. LYN’S HUSBAND (convincing his wife not to worry). I know but it doesn’t mean that jack wrote the letters when he already dead. He wrote it when he was life, honey. I’m gonna take a bath, if you want to read the letters just read it, don’t worry.

MRS. LYN (nodding). Thanks darling, now I’m not worried anymore.

SCENE 3 (flashback). When Jack still alive, he has a good friend names ANTONIUS. They have a good friendships and one day ANTONIUS ask JACK about his faith.

ANTONIUS (slightly afraid to ask an question). Jack if you died tomorrow, Did you ever thought about heaven?

JACK (smiling). I didn’t believed that God was exist, so I didn’t think there were a heaven, my aunt told me about that when I was child, why you believed that God was exist, Anton?

ANTONIUS (answering). My father always told me that all the creature in this world was created by God, Stars, the moon, and human was created by a God. God gave me a life, a soul and a body to lived in this world, that’s all the greatness of God, so I believed that God was exist in this world. I’m really sorry to ask such silly a question to you, Jack.

JACK. It’s doesn’t matters to me, Anton.

ANTONIUS. have you ever tried to believe in God or have you ever tried to find the God, Jack?

JACK. I haven’t, but I will make a research to prove the existence of God.

SCENE 4. Jack’s letters is about jack’s faith when he decides to be an atheist like MRS. LYN but when he meet antonious one of his friend in college, he starts to make a research about the existence of God. MRS. LYN feels that God watch her now when she finish read the letters and then she run to her husband hurriedly.

MRS. LYN (shouting and her voice trembling and she knocking the bathroom door hardly). Honey!!! Honey!!! The letters!!!

MRS. LYN’S HUSBAND (panicly and opens the door). Why did you so frightened honey? Is there anything that disturbed you?

MRS. LYN (trembling). The God was exist darling, we must believed that God was exist.

MRS. LYN’S HUSBAND (curiously). Why did you said that God was exist, honey?”

MRS. LYN (staring her husband eyes). I found the God on Jack’s letters, you will found it if you read it honey.

MRS. LYN’S HUSBAND. What god? You’re to afraid about the letters darling.

MRS. LYN (convincing). No, I’m not. It’s true honey.
